Hi, I’m Malia!

I’m currently working toward my BFA in Film and Television, focusing on writing, producing, and directing. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to take on a variety of roles on set, from production assistant to producer to director. Each experience has deepened my appreciation for filmmaking as a collaborative and ever-changing art form.

​

I’ve always been captivated by psychological thrillers and horror, genres that dig deep into tension, identity, and the complexities of the human mind. I want to create stories that are both emotionally grounded and genuinely unsettling, the kind that linger with you long after the credits roll. Watching projects like The Walking Dead and The Sixth Sense sparked my passion for film.

My ultimate goal is to write and direct, but I genuinely love being involved in every aspect of filmmaking. I’ve grown to appreciate how production design, cinematography, and performance each play a vital role in bringing a story to life. I’m always eager to learn more about how every piece fits together to create something truly memorable.

What excites me most about filmmaking is that it’s never a solo effort. It takes a team of passionate, creative people, each with their own strengths, to turn an idea into something real. That spirit of collaboration and the challenge of solving problems together are what drive me every day.
